This is my Solar System Project made for learning the basis of Unity Engine guided by Game Dev with Unity course from MSU. A simple (not to scale) solar system model is made to include planets' rotation around their own axis and revolution around the sun. Comets will be spawning at fixed intervals across the solar system. Texture and material of each planets are correctly applied. Audio Sources of the planets, the sun and spawning comets are added and the volume made to vary with distance from the player's camera (Ref: https://happymag.tv/listen-to-every-planet-nasa/).

Planets included are

  1. Mercury
  2. Venus
  3. Earth
  4. Mars
  5. Jupiter
  6. Saturn
  7. Uranus
  8. Neptune
  9. Pluto

Interaction

  • Mini-map camera on the bottom-left showing the top-down view of the system
  • Left-click on a planet or a spawning comet on the main camera to track the planet/comet with the view of the main camera
  • Right-click anywhere on the main camera to reset the view to the center of the solar system (the sun)
  • Use Alt+F4 to exit the program on Windows
  • For WebGL version of the game (browser), refresh the browser tab on this web page to stop playing the game

Thank you for checking out. I'm always happy to learn new ideas.
